Today, 24 September, South Africa celebrates Heritage Day. It is a day set aside to honour the rich diversity of cultures, languages, traditions and beliefs that make up our nation. It is a day that belongs to every South African, whoever you are and wherever you come from.

Others mark the day with cultural celebrations, community events, or quiet time with loved ones. However you choose to celebrate, we encourage you to take the day to rest, connect and enjoy the company of those who matter most.
At the Municipal Workers Retirement Fund, we are reminded on this day that retirement saving is itself a form of legacy.
